As a Trailhead student, you spend five days in September (fall semester) or May (spring semester) canoeing through the beautiful lakes of Algonquin Provincial Park. Prior to embarking on your adventure trip, you learn paddling skills by spending a day at Kelso Conservation Area.
The Adventure Trip brings together all the different learning throughout the semester. You get to apply what you have learned about successful groups, outdoor camping and cooking skills, and leadership. You bring together your outdoor skills by setting up the campsite each evening, cooking dinner on a gas stove or campfire, and setting up tents for sleeping. You lead and organize the trip as part of the Trailhead experience.
